A dumber society?

There is a lot of focus lately on the superficial.
Do you know that we all support this in one way or another?

We are in the process of accepting a less intellectual society.
There is more and more focus on our exterior and the materialism that surrounds us.
When I hear about a 16-year old that got a Botox shot from her mum as a Christmas gift I have to say that would be my limit!
Where are we expecting this to lead us?
It´s a vicious cycle that has spun out of control.
New reality shows are being presented all the time and they are getting more and more (feel free to fill in what you consider appropriate...)
Did you realise that these people are making millions on their lack of integrity and pride?
Sure there can be positive side effects as well, but at this point I fail in the attempt of mentioning only one...

You have to make money and shit loads at that, to be someone it seems.
What happened to what´s on the inside?
Have we thrown it all away?

You have to dress like this, or work with this, and socialise with these...
Come on!
Where did the brains go?
And the qualities?

It is sad to see that with the problems we are facing today, it is under no circumstance changing for the better.
It is NOT fair that while millions are suffering, you have people like Kim Kardashian making more money in one year than those who suffer will probably make in a lifetime.
And why is she making all these millions?
Because we are letting her.
We are watching her tv shows and buying magazines when she is on the cover.
I don´t mean to attack her in person, but in this particular post she is representing a rather new phenomenon:
The celebrity who is famous for being a celebrity...

I am not judging her in any way, although I realise, it may seem like I am.

What she makes is non of my concern and I am sure she works hard.

In aw, I am a contributing bystander of this new era and watch while they multiply.
I wonder when this trend will turn or if it ever will?

I will also like to point out the bloggers...
According to my sources blogging has been going on for about 8 years in Norway, but it is the past 3-4 years it has really gone big.
We are claiming a position in the written freelance culture that has up to recently been neglected by respected media.
Most of the top bloggers (note I am not one of them) share their lives on a personal basis, which I think is a good thing.
Young people need role models!
But the problem arises when the most popular blogs write about less intelligent topics like make up, fashion or how to braid your hair.
Seriously, if this had only been parts of the posts, but in many cases it is not...
I am pro all the things I just listed, but when you have a voice, you should also use it to build a better future and society and fairly take your share of the responsibility.
Use your voice to contribute to a wiser and more harmonious future.

Consider this an appeal to the new kind of celebrities and the bloggers:
Use your voice for the greater good, so far I have failed to hear you!
It is in the long perspective we change for the better - it is never done over night.
Create a debate and create a positive butterfly effect.
Reach out to those who need your voice and give them something of value.
It is, and will always be what is on the inside that counts!!

What a year it has been...

I would say one of the most eventful in my life so far.

I have experienced a lot, both good and bad, and I am grateful for both.

Amongst my highlights on a professional note I would like to mention the shoots I had with Atle Pettersen and Tommy Fredvang.

The shoot I had in front of the camera with KK.

The trip I had with Leica, CF Wesenberg and Bjørn Opsahl to Lofoten.

Vixen Blog awards where I was one of the photofinalists and "Norways most loved blog" where I was also a finalist, I did not win in either competitions, but it was nevertheless very fulfilling being nominated.

I became a Nikon blog ambassador.

And the weddings I shot.

On a personal basis I would like to mention a visit to a painter I have always hold very high. Due to privacy reasons I will unfortunately not share his name with you, but for me it was a visit I will NEVER forget and I am so thankful for the opportunity...
He is HUDGE in my eyes and I will always admire him!

My trip to Barcelona.

What a memorable trip it was!

My 30th birthday.

It was a party with the people the people that means the world to me. Lot´s of love and guns (cowboy theme...).

My trip to Paris.
The city of romance never let´s me down!

My trip within.
Extremely personal so I will not share that much I am afraid, but I can tell you this:
I have learned a lot and I have faced many fears. I have changed many of my priorities and I have calmed down. It was needed and the most important trip I have ever done.

I feel more zen than I have ever done and although this is work in progress I see a positive future ahead.
My hopes for 2012 are many, but most of all I hope that you will have a year filled with inner growth and wisdom, tolerance and harmony.
It is okay sometimes just to BE.
I hope you look in the mirror and see that you are perfect just the way you are<3

Finally, at the age of 30 (!) I bought a car!!!

Secrets revealed and Queens?

I told you that I would share pics with you from the StyleTV.no launch party and tell you about the party, but I am afraid this post is going to be a split one.

First:

The party was great and I am super duper proud of my sister Gine!!

She and the rest of the team has done a tremendous job getting it all together and now launching what I hope to be a channel of trendsetting and not following.

With so much pure bread love and dedication I believe that they can absolutely make a difference!

This will be the only picture I will share with you from that evening and this is because I think that this is the only picture which is worth sharing.

Finally one picture that is untypical (in all fairness Gine and Marthe are stunning beautiful and so they can carry a corny shot!)

The rest of the pics turned out to be crap!

After not taking a single shot for about one month I am finding it hard these days to pick it up again.

But no fear, I will find the inspiration needed any day now (fingers crossed!!!)

I have attended enough red carpet events and launch parties to share the following secret with you -

THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE I JUST DON´T LIKE!

Usually the same people go to the same parties and the same people kiss their ass.

I am soooo sad to see that there are more followers out there than pioneers and "fighters".

Let me elaborate:

I can not distress how fed up I am with certain "power people" and their lousy attitudes.

Let´s call them Queen Bees for the sake of this post.

You know who they are immediately as they enter the party, in their fake fur (which is a good thing!) and more often than not bedazzled in the most expensive garments and accessories available to the normal mortal person.

People automatically swarm around them, and so - appearing to be addicts.

They need their fix and the sweet honey that the Queen bee may or may not provide, depending on the Queens mood.

I find it disgusting and at the same time somewhat understandable that these honey suckers (...)have to get a peace of the action.

Be it an article where they appear, a photo shoot, an advertising gig a new reality concept.

A certain few Queens for certain industries.

Making it almost corrupt.

I too, have done my fair share of celebs on this blog and carefully chosen my headings so that you will be drawn like moths to a flame.

BUT - I have never lied to you.

I have never misguided you nor have I given you gossip.

Ah the invisible line of integrity and honour...

As a bystander of this abomination (subjective opinion) and as a phycological curious let me tell you one thing:

The more the workers give to the Queen Bee the more she will spawn workers and slaves, but alas:

THE BITCH ALWAYS DIES IN THE END!

(this was not a death threat of any kind)

I respect those who work hard and thus I will fairly place my loyalty and sincere support to them and non others.

I don´t particularly believe in freebies...So these are the people I will be talking with at such events.

Their soul is still, as I see them, pure and loving.

SO ROCK ON YOU WHO DON´T SUCCUMB TO A SOCIETY BASED ON THE QUEEN BEES MOOD!

Yesterday I attended a social gathering at Ven House of Beauty.

A dozen 30- and 40- somethings gathered at the studio in Frognerveien in Oslo, on a typical Wednesday evening.

What was not typical about it was the subject at hand (for me at least).

Creams, make up and skin therapy!

Sitting there amongst these not so casual dressed ladies I began to wonder....

Am I one of you or can I check this evening of as something concerning my "journalistic integrity" and thus not tap into what seems inevitable - the chase of everlasting youth?

Observing this small crowd of women I quickly discover that it is not at all what might seems.

This is not trophy/housewives with extra time to kill.

Quite the contrary!

Here I find myself surrounded with doctors and self employed power ladies!

All of us had one thing in common - being:

Not the fountain of youth but the appearance we all (mankind) lead with.

Sure it is as it is - we all at some point discover the wrinkles and flaws that is human nature, but we want to preserve what we can in the best and most optimal way.

These ladies sure knew what they are talking about - all though I got some eye rolling when I mentioned my age.

Am I not supposed to have an opinion because I have childish facial features and havn´t crossed the magical 35?!

Either way:

Fascinating stuff!!!

From here on out -

I will do my best not to judge!

(Shame on me for doing so in the first place!)

I am realising that you can be smart and full of integrity and at the same time have a passion for make up and other super girly things.

We are after all the same on the inside!

Wether it is regarding our thoughts about appearance or insecurities.

I am trying to broaden my horizon and I will not come down on you with judgement if you choose to share make up tips or other pointers regarding looks (as long as you stay true to what is on the inside, that is...;)

ps - turns out my Pharma skin care cream (which is awesome) contains...

Wait for it:

Botox....

Hahahhahahhah! Nough´ said!!!

But it still goes on top of my skin and not inside...Is there a difference between the two? Of course but I sure am struggling to find out where to draw the line (no pun intended...).

Frail nails, botox and the life after 30!

If you are one of my loyal readers you know that this blog is reserved for photography.

But this also includes what inspires me, what motivates me and what fills my batteries.

After turning 30 it hits you:

You have peeked and you are now one step closer to getting old.

You become (or was it just me?!) more aware of the wrinkles on your face as well as nutrition/vitamins.

With age comes wisdom and experience.

With age comes the harsh reality of life and at some point you will have to come to terms with the fact that youth is a not everlasting.

Earlier in this blog I have addressed my opinions as to how far I think, we should push the boundaries of staying forever young.

My opinion then, is the same as now, let me remind you:

I don´t do botox and I really don´t like it on others.

Maybe I am just scared that I will succumb to the pressure after a couple of years?

At least I can guarantee that as for now my face is Botox free zone.

But - there are still treatments you can do as to maintenance, moisture and "bounce".

My skin therapist, Anja Borgen, is entrusted with my skin.

Whatever she would recommend I do, treatment/cremes/peelings(not chemical obviously!), I would do.

I trust her with my life (face at least).

But I also just decided to give my nails some attention as well.

They have always been frail and "bubbly".

But after starting everyday with a pill cocktail containing tran (norwegian omega 3 fluid), floradix (fluid containing extra iron, magnesium and almost every vitamin in the book), ginseng, extra vitamin B, extra iron, brewer´s yeast (ølgjær in Norwegian) mixed with water, I am hoping they will get stronger and not brake all the time.

Obviously this tastes like SHIT(!!!!) but it is worth it:)

Also to help my nails grow I went to visit Camilla yesterday and she fixed them for me as best she can with shellac.

I would also like to add;

What makes these girls so special in my eyes is that they are so down to earth and they have a personal relationship with their customers.

Leica M9P vs. Nikon D3S

I guess that is geek lingo, so I would prefer to call it "two friends both out and about taking pictures at the same time".

Me with Nikon D3s(called Bob from here on out) and Aleksander With with Leica M9p(he named her Aisha).

We called it a stand off on Twitter.

Who won?

Ohhhhh....

It depends on your preference.

Bob is big and heavy and Aisha is more handy.

Also it depends on the lens!

If I am not mistaken Aisha had The Leica Summicron

50 mm f/2 and Bob had a 85 mm f/1.4

(I realize that I should have made a note of this...)

If I am lucky I can show some of the pics that Aleksander took later - I have to ask him nicely;)

I really loved the D3s, I have to admit.

But for a relative small girl like myself (my muscles are hidden...)it takes a physical tole to carry around "Big boy Bob" all day.

I think I would prefer Bod in the studio and Aisha (or Kurt) in the streets.

Take that with a pinch of salt will you, since I haven´t tried either cameras in studio...

Getting married?

What I love most about wedding photography is the part where you get to take part in something that is bigger than yourself. You are invited in to something as a silent party and you get to almost experience the love that is in the air. It surrounds the camera and therefore, if you allow it, surrounds you as well.

Personally I find it challenging because I am a sucker for romance - meaning:

I ALWAYS CRY IN WEDDINGS!

Already taking pictures in my first wedding I found out that I have to really really focus at the ceremony or else I am sobbing like a crazy person.

I constantly have to look through the camera and not on the bride as she walks up the aisle.

I have to distance myself!

Once the ceremony is over I most often go in the same car as the couple to our location and I can tell you that that particular feeling is very weird.

Automatically I want to wave to all the guests as we drive away, but of course I have to take pictures of the happy couple in the backseat in stead....

Corny I know - but I´m thinking it´s a normal psychological feeling?!

Hahahhaha!!!

I have added some pictures from a wedding this summer.

What makes these pics so special is that the car belonged to the brides grandfather who passed away some time ago.

And so making this particular scene very personal and heartfelt.

I added both color and black and white - I can´t seem to choose my favourites...

With her new album "Forklaring følger" she does it again!

As one of Norway's biggest artist Ingrid Bjørnov released her new album last week at John Dee in Oslo.

As a proud member of the audience I was completely mesmerised by her performance!

She does it all!

Amazing pianist, vocalist, performer, comedian.... Is there anything this lady cannot do?

I have earlier shared with you the fascination I have for her, but it goes beyond this.

This is true ADMIRATION!

To any insecure girl she can be a tremendous positive influence.

She has an energy on stage that is not only real but also humble in a secure way.

Ingrid includes her audience and invite them into her space thus getting their undivided attention.

You have to pay attention, and you can´t help not to!

I ended up singing with the crowd.

I had goose pumps.

I shed a tear.

She invited her old colleague, Benedicte Adrian, up on stage as well.

As always they are a great duo!

But Ingrid, you do it best by yourself now...

A grown woman with the perfect amount of self esteem;)

She has loads of sarcasm and "though love" and I truly love the fact that she has no boundaries.

She never steps over the line, but balances with grace and charm right on the edge.

I am happy to have had the opportunity of seeing her live!

In my eyes she is a living legend and you are a fool if you miss out on her!

She is scheduled to have several concerts during this fall and I advice you to check out the dates!

Contrasts in Paris...

I have to say that street photography is not a genre that I feel comes natural to me.

I would best describe it like this:

You have to observe and look, but you don´t necessarily get the opportunity of enjoying.

I was constantly chasing the perfect picture thus I was left with observing alone.

It wasn´t until I sat down on the riverboat I took it all in.

More pictures of that to come, but first I wan´t to share these.

They say a pictures says more than a thousand words?

What words should I then use on these pics?

Where Louis Vuitton and Mulberry meets broken backs and beggars?

Where crispy ironed white pants and fancy camera equipment meet homeless shoeless youngsters?

Paris can be brutal it seems, filled with diversity and contrast.

Still I really like these pictures as I feel I exposed at vulnerable part of her inner essence.

The intolerable lightness of being!

Milan Kundera would describe it as unbearable...

I describe it as absolutely intolerable!

Lightness of being;

in my head best summed up as mere physical being.

Mentally - can being ever be considered light?

I am not one to accept the formalities of life as society would best have it, confined and dependable.

I could never fully be me, without discovering and developing myself and all that surrounds me.

I would like to be a writer. But surely I am a writer?

What does a writer make? Words?

If so - I am a writer.

A published one even (at least on this blog)!

I would like to be a photographer. But surely I am a photographer?

What does a photographer make? Pictures?

If so - I am a photographer too.

Published even.

I will not say it is as easy as I just wrapped it up to be.

I find it to be a constant fight.

A personal war.

A personal love affair.

All is fair in love and war...

The lightness of being can only be experienced once you give up or surrender to life.

You stop searching and you stop evolving.

So I would not wish this lightness on my worst enemy!

It would leave nothing but an empty shell.

In my search for "world dominance" I find myself to be exhausted.

I feel like a marathon runner, closing in on the finish line.

I see it and it is not at all far away, but for some reason my legs will not follow my instructions.

Damn...

Why am I always in a hurry?

Relax, take your time honey, you will get there!

For the time being I need to breathe and relax.

Hurry slowly, you know.

I am proving myself to someone.

I REALLY wish I knew who!

It is not my family nor my friends, so it leaves me with a weary suspicion...

Can it be ME?!

If so, Anne Elisabeth would turn out to be my own worst enemy.

What a frightening thought!

Terrifying actually...

In a world where all is fair I guess I would be a paid photographer and a writer.

I would spend spring and fall in Paris, in my apartment by the Seine.

I would bring my camera one day and my mac the other.

I would drink my espresso and eat my croissants at my favourite cafe.

I would listen to Sarah Vaughan and my creativity would rule my universe, without questions asked and I would always be a person in creative zen.

Only differences from my life today?

- Paris!

- Of course a more relaxed schedule...

- And lacking the sense of ZEN.

I think it is time I not only see my creativity, but fully learn to accept it.

Meaning sleepless nights, ideas when I should be resting, a sensitive mind and a vulnerable soul.

Like the great Odd Nerdrum said:

"A man must suffer a bit, to become a real man."

(Also goes for women...!)

Without trials and tribulations one can never be of the creative sort, which only leaves me to think that all creative souls at some level will for ever be in turmoil, without the ability to be at the stage of "lightness of being".

They don´t have the ability to accept, they are constantly searching for new ideas or mountains to climb.

I want to write more.

I want to write a book and I want to write a column.

Sorry to say, but there is a lot of shitty writing out there, and by stating that fact I just put my writing above it all (just the shitty writing!!!)...

Oooops....

Fact is, I like writing and I like MY writing, if I didn´t, I surly would NOT write at all?!

And I would not share it with you!

Take it or leave it basically.

We are all told that we should believe in ourselves and I am constantly discovering my pros and cons.

It is exciting and tiresome at the same time!

I could definitely be more consistent and put all my energy into ONE thing at a time, but I fail at the attempt over and over again...

How come it seems like most people can choose a profession and stick by it?

I said: it seems...

I sometimes wish I could be like that and not be creative, but that would be the same thing as saying: I wish I never had my baby.

I would never say it, but when times get tough I sometimes wonder;

What if?

9:00 to 5:00 baby, 9:00 to 5:00...

Oh well!

I am not a pioneer.

I am not a philosopher.

I am just a young woman looking for a way to get the utmost out of her self proclaimed (...) talent.

So let me!

If not for the NEW YORK TIMES or Conde Nast, let me use this simple blog to be what I desperately want to be:

A photographer.

A writer.

A modern woman standing on her own two feet.

This is my escape from, or my voice for, my very own war/love affair.

You can choose to read it.

You can choose to comment.

Or you can choose to read something else.

In my mind this is my pursuit of happiness and surely you can now agree that from my point of view the lightness of being is absolutely intolerable!

I have lived life in Paris as one of the fortunate ones and walked by her blood line the Seine.

I had an amazing shoot yesterday:D

It has been a while now since I shot at Kolonihaven Studio, so it felt great being back:)
I have always loved the energy in the studio!

Stephan Ulvund Øien did the beautiful make-up and Cecilie Eide did a great job with the hair!
We truly had the best time - WHAT A TEAM:)

Anine did a tremendous job in front of the camera!
I love working with professionals!

A bigger perspective...

Many years ago I was a young girl with life ahead of me.

I guess I was conflicted in many ways, like most teenagers!

I had a very strict vision on the world and on myself.

I was built and yet confined by a certain system of rules and regulations and empathy was not a natural part of me.

I was a good girl in many ways, but I have always been extremely strong and determined on where I want to go, and since I was a newborn this has been a challenge.

Mom used to tell me to stay in the play pin, she turned for 2 seconds and when she looked back to check on me - I was gone!

Still I do what I please and come and go as I want, almost...

Of course I adjusted to society (I am not a dumb ass after all...) and like all others I have to work, and I have responsibilities and obligations.

But still, the girl with cohones (over the male average might I add) and fighter spirit rule this small temple of Annie, 167 cm above sea level.

So what changed me?

What made me into the person I am today?

Oh, where to begin...

I had a rough couple of years and a few experiences I could have gone without.

I have tasted pain and looked death in the eyes.

Those dark dark eyes...

They have a colour which is hard to explain.

The darkness seem to be never ending and never beginning.

The pain I would best describe as a constant nightmare.

Black with no air.

So tell me how am I supposed to breathe without air and live in something that I cannot explain as anything other than a black void.

Without feeling anything above the scale of what should be the absolute minimum of what should be accepted as a decent quality of life?

How does one get back on ones feet and declare victory a´last?

I have the answer to that...

For me it was:

ACCEPTANCE

In stead of trying to fight it or push it away, trying to get just one glimpse of sunlight or just one breath of fresh air; let go and accept the pain.

I would describe the pain and sorrow like this:

It is a real life monster.

It is bigger than your worst nightmare.

It will take your soul and eat you from inside out.

It will take away your freedom and your hope and it will control you.

Everything you think, feel and do will be in the monsters possession.

It will take the beauty, laughter and light inside you and remove it from your soul.

It will bring you to your knees!

How can you ever accept this?

When all is lost and there is nothing to gain-

When you have given up and your feet can no longer carry you-

When your mind is tired and there are no tears left-

Then and no sooner...

You can accept!

At this very moment, when you not only say it out loud, but mean it in your soul:

You see the light again.

You feel the sun.

You can breathe.

You are free!

My monster still lives inside me, but we have a deal now.

He can visit when he sees it fit and I will let him control me for only a moment.

I will send him on his way and in some weird and twisted way I will be grateful he stopped by.

It means that I have not forgotten what was once taken from me and I will never forget what it felt like.

I would like it undone a thousand times, but I don´t want to forget the pain.

It was a part of the process.

A part of my process of becoming a better person and who I am today.

The tragedy touched many people and it is now 11 years ago.

The tragedy changed many people 11 years ago, and I suspect it is still changing us today.

It made us bigger and we grew into better versions of what we once were.

We became more humble.

More understanding to what life is actually about.

We might forget from time to time, but then the monster will remind us that life is fragile.

You should laugh and love!

And you should always be thankful for what you have received, good or bad, you learned a lesson from it!

It gives you perspective.

A bigger perspective!

This was a very depressing post on a Friday...

I guess it was time I said it and shared it with you.

At one point we will all face loss in our lives.

Maybe you can relate to my perspective?

I hope not, but it is always good to feel that I have touched at least one person with my words and heartfelt thoughts.

After all - this is a piece of my soul.

Feeling totally inspired by NE-YO!

But maybe in the wrong way?

I used to dance.

I danced classical, street and jazz for 10 years.

Ne-Yo makes me wanna dance again!!!

It´s all in the hips;)

I was on my way from the gym yesterday (working on my fitness) and it was raining.

I was listening to "One in a million" and suddenly I started to dance!

Relax, it wasn´t like a full show!

Just a little footwork that´s all;)

Liberating in the yellow lights from the streetlights being reflected in the poring rain.

Wow...

Such a cliche!

But nevertheless - the truth!!!

Feels good to be back energy wise.

There has been a lot of sickness and work lately so I havn´t had the time or energy to go to the gym:(

But baby is back lifting weights with the guys!

You will never see me at the gym with pearls and jewelry, extra eyeliner and lip gloss.

I go there to work out - not to be seen or look my best!

Nobody puts baby in a corner!!!

After another hectic week I feel both sleep- and sugar deprived!

Here is a summary of the week I had:

- 95 weeding pics retouched and finalized

- 6 cd´s containing 1200 wedding pics delivered

- Shooting at a BMW launch for Leica both Wednesday and Thursday

- Sold two pics to a magazine - more on this to come next week

- About 35 pics to retouch this weekend

- Finally booked the shoot with Anine Stang

- Shooting for Frogner House apartments this weekend - street style (more on this later)

- Oh and of course : working 9-5 every day at Kolonihaven studio:)

Good thing I listen to my doctor who told me to calm down and make sure that I eat healthy and get enough sleep....

I can sleep later, but I promise to cut down on carbs and sugar next week!

Looking forward to the weekend at last:)

I have worn my bikini for the last time, this year, and soon it will be time to get the big boots out from my storage room:(

So last week I wrote that I was back at work and I was, at least for a couple of hours...

I felt really sick!

The doctor ordered me to stay in bed the rest of the week, so I didn´t have a choice really:(

I absolutely HATE being sick!!!

It´s boring like nothing else and I go through withdraw due to the lack of socialising!

To sum up last week:

Rain

Boredom

I hope to regain my strength this week as I am shooting both Wednesday and Thursday!

Female perspective on Leica M9!

The first time I met Kurt was at a photo workshop with Leica, at Skrova in Lofoten.

He was not the first thing I noticed.

Sure he was handsome, but my attention fell on his younger brother, S2.

S2 was bigger and looked stronger, more sexy even...

Still, Kurt and I briefly met, but I didn't feel attracted to him in that way.

Little did I know that just a couple of months later I would fall head over heels with him...

Fast forward 2 months:

Kurt sent me an email asking if he could join me on my trip to Barcelona and if we could maybe take some pictures together.

I could not believe what I was reading!

Why did he want to go with me? Little me?

He was extremely popular and he could have his pick of women!

He had sensed a certain chemistry between us and an unspoken trust.

Wow! I was flattered and by now I was very curious of him!

I was so excited and happy to say yes to his proposal.

It had been years since I had THAT many butterflies:)

He came to me the day before we left on our trip.

In the dim lights from my kitchen counter I had noticed how incredibly beautiful he was.

He was carved from stone, with his masculine lines, his dark skin and his silver hair.

Now I saw it clearly: Kurt was a gentleman of rank!

He had a steadiness I had rarely seen and a heaviness to him that I had never experienced before.

Our chemistry was not immediate and we spent a couple days to get to know each other.

I even found him to be somewhat weird and almost a little bit arrogant.

Our misunderstandings were many and it took me some time to understand this particular German.

However, Kurt was also "old school", refined, and he had qualities about him that I had never seen before!

When I finally got under his skin, I understood that he was so simple and easy!

As we became better acquainted Kurt would turn out to be the biggest summer flirt I´d had since I was 15 years old...

Let me also add:

- He had stamina like few!

- How he managed to manoeuvre in the worst lighting conditions is a mystery to me...

- He also had a very good lens attached to him... Though it was only a 50mm (...), it certainly did the trick and the memories I have can simply not be described in words. Fortunately, I have some nice pictures;)

(Of course I will share them with you!)

I understood that this romance could not last and it was with sadness I discovered that he had a contract with someone else binding him for life in sickness and health, for richer or poorer...

Now I now know that he is a REAL player and wanders from flower to flower.

He has also been with several men!

Still it is obvious that he cares a great deal about his true love as it seems he always goes back to her.

I guess time will heal my wounds...

Dear Kurt:

I love you.

I will never forget the times we shared.

I will never forget how you opened my eyes and made me try new things and broaden my horizon.

For always in my heart<3

It simply had to be a male version, as there are so many parallels in relation to men.

For three hours yesterday it actually was all about me.

A weird feeling being in front of the camera!

It is actually weird how you learn to be in front of the camera by standing behind it.
You get very attentive on when and how to move.
I did my best but only time will show if I actually got the job done.

But it was FUN:)

Styling, hair and make up was done as well, with help from my super fab sis´ Lill´G aka Gine.

Can´t wait to see the result!

Exciting day today...

Work AND play!

KK (a Norwegian magazine) is doing a story on me and I am heading out for the photo shoot as we speak. It´s fun to be in front of the camera as well and especially today, since I get to decide how I want it;)

To summon up the afternoon:

On the note that Tomter is a shit hole:
I beg to differ.
I actually found it highly soothing for both body and soul.
I spent only a few hours here, but I truly can say that I liked it.
Maybe it was because of the fantastic company.
Maybe it was the fact that I shot with both Nikon & Leica M9.
Maybe it was the seductive effect of the Chablis or the mesmerizing energy of the house...
I don´t care so much as to why.
I have concluded "pro Tomter" and my conclusion stands!

I had a truly fantastic evening with Ingrid.
Sadly I hardly EVER meet women like her!
She has this je ne sais quois...

If you have seen her live or on TV you know what I am talking about and somehow she ends up giving this also in a private setting - she is genuine and openminded.
She is full of energy and has a profound interest in everything around her.
All in all I found her to be humble, reflected, independent and open.
We talked about show business, music, women, life.
I would say that this was truly one of the most fantastic evenings I have ever had and I am deeply thankful!

Three girls in Barcelona.

Three girls having a good time, enjoying life and having a much needed break from life's trivialities...

"A bomb just went off in Oslo!!!"

Silence and complete shock...

"What did you just say?"

"A bomb went off down town Oslo!

People have died and the damages are huge!!"

"Wait! There is a shooting now too!!!"

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???!!!"

We have all heard about and read about it.

Seen reports on TV and newspapers.

How can this have happened?

To my beautiful little country...

How can I describe the pain that follows such a tragedy?

A nation in sorrow...

Once I was back in Oslo the first thing I did, when I came home, was to turn on the TV.

I went online to catch up with the rest of this small nations experience while I had been abroad, and therefore unable to be a part of it, the way I wanted to.

I spent the day crying.

Asking the same question as millions of others;

"How could this have happened?!"

I took my camera and started walking...

A pilgrim walk.

A walk of complete silence.

A walk of devastation.

A walk of sorrow and heartache.

A walk of hugs from strangers.

A walk of reflection.

A walk of sympathy.

A walk of pride.

I have always been proud of being Norwegian.

It´s a very good country!

But never have I been as proud to be a part of this humble nation as I am now!

"I refuse to be your enemy!"

"Strongest of all is love!"

Powerful, powerful statements that we have all taken to our hearts.

My deepest condolences go out to the families and friends of the many victims.

I know that your loss can never be replaced and that you will never forget the pain that you have in your heart at this moment.

But I know that with time, you will remember your loved ones with a smile.

You will cherish her laugh, because I can assure you, you will never forget it!

You will remember his beautiful hair!

You will remember her running through the fields at your summerhouse while stepping on the cicadas.

You will remember his kindness and you will remember her warmth.

And you will treasure it in your heart because it is the most valuable thing you will ever own.

Your loved one will never be forgotten!

A world is in mourning with you...

A sea of flowers...
